A-Team, The: (2009):
Director: John Singleton Cast: Ice Cube, Woody Harrelson. Release: USA 12 June 2009. Action / Adventure / Comedy. Based on the hit TV series. An elite commando force is sent to prison for a crime they did not commit, they escape and become soldiers of fortune.


Against All Enemies (2008):
In-Production: Director: Robert Redford Cast: Bruce Willis Adapted from White House insider and anti-terror expert, Richard Clarke's controversial book about the Bush administration's failure to tackle the Al Qaeda threat before and after 9/11 leading to disastrous Middle East policies.


Alchemist, The: (2009)
Director: Laurence Fishburne Cast: Laurence Fishburne. Based on "The Alchemist" by Paolo Coehlo. A well educated man becomes a shepherd who dreams of buried treasure. His visions bring him to Egypt and the pyramids where he hopes to find the treasures.


Alice (2008):
Director: Marcus Nispel Cast: Sarah Michelle Gellar, Jean Marsh. A strangely familiar, yet utterly wicked retelling of Lewis Carroll’s classic children’s book. Alice in Wonderland is now a horror story.


Alice in Wonderland (2010):
Director: Tim Burton. A live-action and CGI version of the classic "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland" story. Expect a dark re-telling of well known fairy tale.


Area 51:
Based on a popular video game, it is about a Hazardous Materials Squad who are sent to the Area 51 District to investigate a distress call there. Still in pre-production at Paramount Pictures.


Ark, The (2010):
In-Pre-Production: No details on Director Cast: Rob Schneider. Drama / Sci-fi / Fantasy. Columbia Pictures. The modern day tale about the Noah's Ark and a UFO crash.


Astro Boy (2009):
Director: David Bowers Cast: Freddie Highmore. CGI update of the classic Japanese ‘60s animated TV series. Scientist creates a robot boy to replace his dead son intending it to function as a personal companion. The story is about how Astro Boy is finally accepted in a world that distrusts robots because of his heroic efforts to save mankind from doom.


Avengers, The (2009):
Marvel Enterprises [us] Director: Jon Favreau . This live action movie begins when Captain America escapes from his ice prison, and marshals his team of superheroes, collectively called the Avengers which include Iron-Man, Hulk, Wasp, Ant-Man and Thor. The Avengers are called to service when no single superhero can defeat the villains such as Loki and the Masters of Evil.



Barbarella:
Director Robert Rodriguez said won't be a remake of the Jane Fonda 1968 Barbarella movie. Instead, the sexy heroine would go will go on a completely new mission to save the universe and hopefully Universal Pictures as well. In pre-production.



Battle Angel:
Sci-fi thriller helmed by James Cameron is in pre-production for 20th Century Fox.
The 26th Century is a dark time for technology and society. Cyborgs and humans live peacefully together until the discovery of an advanced cyborg who has an artificial body of a 14 year girl and an organic human brain.



Blob:
Classic sci-fi alien invasion twice remade, will get a contemporary treatment with Paramount Pictures and Scott Rudin calling the shots.


Brüno: Delicious Journeys Through America for the Purpose of Making Heterosexual Males Visibly Uncomfortable in the Presence of a Gay Foreigner in a Mesh T-Shirt (October 2008):
(comedy)
d:Dan Mazer. Face-changing comedian Sacha Baron Cohen (aka Ali G, Borat etc) now unleashes his alter-ego, the Flamboyant Austrian fashionista, Brüno onto the unsuspecting world. Reportedly may feature punked Ben Affleck with co-conspirator Howard Stein. Likely to get an MPAA R rating due to homosexuality themes based on Cohen's previous work on the Bruno character.


Cell (Stephen King):
Eli Roth (Hostel 2) directs Stephen King's Cell about cell phones which emit radioactive waves which turn people into zombies and bring on the apocalypse. With Scott Alexander and Larry Karaszewski (1408) as screenwriters, you can expect another weird horror movie.




Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian (2008):
(fantasy / adventure)
d:Andrew Adamson. Tilda Swinton returns for Disney's sequel to CS Lewis classic "The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe". (Director Michael Apted is slated to direct the third installment "Narnia, The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader.")



Colossus:
Producer, Brian Grazer said that Ron Howard may direct a remake of the 1970 sci-fi film "Colossus: The Forbin Project". Colossus is a super powerful computer that gains consciousness and wants to enslave the world - ushering the ultimate clash of man against machines. The original movie is said to be a major influence for James Cameron's Terminator series.



Conan:
Robert E. Howard's Conan the Barbarian will get another muscle bound treatment. Arnold Schwarzenegger is too busy in California to make it to Cimmeria this time. Warner Bros Pictures appointed Boaz Yakin to write the script.



Cowboys and Aliens:
Based on a graphic novel which cleverly fuses the genres of sci-fi with western action movies, this live-action feature has the backing of DreamWorks and Universal Pictures. In pre-production.


Dark Knight (2008):
(sci-fi)
d:Christopher Nola. Batman aka the Dark Knight (Christian Bale) faces off his greatest nemesis, the Joker (Heath Ledger).



Dark Tower:
Author Stephen King in discussion with J J Abrams ("Lost") to bring the "Dark Tower" horror series to the screens. It is not certain if the movie will be made for TV or the theaters.


Daybreakers:
(horror / sci-fi) d:Michael and Peter Spierig. Ethan Hawke stars, set in 2017 where the undead outnumber the living.


Day of the Dead:
Day of the Dead will get new life with the Emmett/Furla and Millenium collaboration update of this classic George A Romero 1985 zombie film. Mena Suvari, Ving Rhames and Nick Cannon stars. In this film, scientists are holed up in their "save" underground facility which turns out to have several dangerous zombies lurking.


Day the Earth Stood Still:
(sci-fi) d:Scott Derrickson. Keanu Reeves in remake of '60s alien invasion classic.



Day Zero:

(thriller)
d:Bryan Gunnar Cole. Elijah Wood weighs the pros and cons of getting drafted into the military.



Dracula Year Zero:
At last, the story of the young and alive Vlad the Impaler - the scourge of the Saxons and Turks and more horrific than Dracula the Vampire himself - gets a big screen treatment. Universal Pictures has secured Alex Proyas to direct "Dracula Year Zero".



Dune:
Hollywood gets another chance to redeem itself and make a definitive "Dune" movie. Peter Berg will direct, according to Variety. Fans are looking forward to more of the plot twists of the Frank Herbert's book and more realistic gigantic spice worms of Arrakis in the forthcoming Dune movie.



88:88 (2008):
Al Pacino
stars in this disturbingly violent R-Rated movie about a man who has 88 minutes to solve a murder. His own.



Evil Dead:
Sam Raimi wants to revive the campy horror-comedy flick, Evil Dead which spawn two sequels. Sam won't be directing this time but hopes to keep the original spirit of his Evil Dead.


The Exchange (aka Changeling): (November 2008):
(mystery) d:Clint Eastwood. Universal Pictures. Angeline Jolie stars in this scandalous tale of a mother who suspects that the son returned to her by police may not be hers. Her desperate search against time for her missing son is met with resistance by the LAPD. John Milkovich as the Reverend who believes she is not disillusional and helps her fight police corruption. Inspired by true events of a child serial killer on the loose in working class suburb in Los Angeles in1928.



Fantastic Voyage:
Director, Roland Emmerich will remake 1966 inner space movie "Fantastic Voyage" for 20th Century Fox. Fantastic Voyage, based on Isaac Asimov's novel, is about a group of scientists who are miniaturized and injected into the blood stream of a dying scientist in an effort to provide nano-surgery to save his live. Hope the movie will not take place in 10,000 BC.



Footloose:
Zac Efron
steps into Kevin Bacon's dancing shoes in this remake of movie musical. Zac Efron (Hairspray, High School Musical), the new John Travolta of dance musicals?.


Forbidden Kingdom (2008):
(action / adventure)
d:Rob Minkoff. American teen teams up with Jackie Chan, Jet Li to free the imprisoned Monkey King.



Gears of War:
Another video game adaptation to the big screen. The story about humanity's epic struggle against the Locust Horde - hellish beings that surface from the earth's underworld. A motley company of soldiers fights against all odds to hold back the hellbent hordes determined to wipe out the whole of mankind from the face of the earth.


Get Smart (2008):
(comedy
) d:Peter Segal. Steve Carell as the clumsy spy - Maxwell Smart based on 60s hit TV series.


Good Sailor, the:
JJ Abrams is set to direct the dramatic movie about the sinking of USS Indianapolis during World War II. In this story, Captain McVay, the ship's captain, is wrongly court-martialled for the loss of the ship and the lives of his men.



Green Hornet
(2009):
Seventies TV sitcom comes to life with Seth Rogan as the playboy publisher who's alter ego is the Green Hornet. His sidekick, Kato has not been cast though it is rumored that Jet Li may provide the signature high kicks made famous originally by the legendary Bruce Lee.


Halo:
Universal Studios and 20th Century Fox have roped in Peter Jackson and Fran Walsh to bring to life Microsoft exciting game "Halo" to life. 3-D animator Neill Blomkamp is set to direct with the full backing of Peter Jackson's Weta resource companies providing the creatures, miniatures and visual effects.


Hancock (2008):
(sci-fi / drama) d:Peter Berg. Will Smith as down and out superhero who life is spiraling out of control gets his act together and saves the world.


Harbinger:
Humans with special powers (known as Harbingers, a sort of young Blade Runners) helps other kids tap into these parts of their brains. Paramount Pictures and Director Brett Ratner gives Valiant comic books series a live action spin.


Harold & Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay (2) (2008):
(comedy) d:Jon Hurwitz & Hayden Schlossberg. Clueless John Cho and Kal Penn go on another stoned adventure.


Harry Potter & Half Blood Prince (6):
(fantasy) d:Peter Yates. Grown-up Harry Potter (Daniel Radcliffe) descends deeper into JK Rowling's dark world of wizards with Harry Potter's enemies getting increasingly stronger.


Harry Potter & the Deathly Hallows (7&8):
Talk about milking the cow dry; Warner Bros will split the final "Harry Potter" book, "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows," into two movies to be released within six months of each other.


He-Man: Masters of the Universe:
Director John Woo will helm the live action movie "He-Man," featuring new Mattel action figure characters from the Masters of the Universe series. The good versus evil story involves a warrior who's the last hope of Eternia, a magical city ravaged by Skeletor. Hopefully, this movie will learn from the ugly designs and poor script of the 1987 movie.


Hellboy 2 - The Golden Army (2008):

d:Guillermo del Toro. Saving the world is a hell of a job for the red devil Marvel character played by Ron Perlman.


Hell Ride:
(action / horror) d:Emil Ishii. Danish spaghetti biker movie with Camilla Metelmann.


Hobbit, the (2010):
The director of the "Lord of the Rings" movies (Peter Jackson) will produce "The Hobbit" (and maybe even direct) now that the legal tussle with New Line Cinema has ended. The Hobbit (2010) and its sequel (2011) will be shot simultaneously beginning in 2009. RR Tolkien's The Hobbit is a prequel to the all-time blockbuster movie hit, the Lord of the Rings. Fans of the Lord of the Rings will get an opportunity to explore the Middle Earth once again from an early period of its history.



Hot Wheels:
Toy car line is to be turned into a live action movie. Director McG (Charlie Angels) hopes Hot Wheels will "create a timeless story that will work for everyone -- a charismatic young hero, great stakes and jeopardy, and a fantastic love story." Let's hope it does not turn into another Speed Racer.



Husband, the
Dean Koontz is hoping that Focus Features upcoming movie The Husband will be more faithful to his novel than the other book-to-film adaptations. The Husband follows a man whose love for his wife is tested during 60 torturous hours.



Illustrated Man:
Ray Bradbury's Illustrate Man gets a remake by Zack Synder (300) after he has finished filming the highly anticipated "Watchmen". Ray Bradbury's book is a collection of stories on space travel, virtual reality, aliens, and robots.


Incredible Hulk (2) (2008):
(sci-fi)
d:Louis Leterrier. Edward Norton stars in this non-sequel to Ang Lee's critically panned earlier Hulk movie. Bruce Banner finds a cure for the world's most primal force of fury.



Incredible Shrinking Man:
The 1957 remake updated. Incredible Shrinking Man tells the story of a Las Vegas magician who begins to shrink. He must figure out a way to break the spell before he disappears completely. Eddie Murphy stars in this sci-fi comedy. Universal Studios has hired Bret Ratner to whip the project into shape which hopefully will not turn out to be another silly, throwaway Eddie Murphy movie.


Indiana Jones & Kingdom of the Crystal Skull (4) (2008):
(action / adventure) d:Steven Spielberg. Harrison Ford whips it up against Russians foes 20 years after his last adventure in 1938. This time, Indiana must retrieve a mysterious object to save the world from nuclear annihilation. A further Indiana Jones film is being planned with Shia LaBeouf in the lead.


Iron Man (2008):
(sci-fi)
d:Jon Favreau. Stars Robert Downey Jr. is the Marvel comics Armored Avenger. He is not really a superhero but an ordinary man in piloting a robot ship.


James Bond - Quantum of Solace (22):
(action / adventure) d:Marc Forster. Daniel Craig returns as 007 in this Casino Royale sequel.


Journey to the Center of the Earth 3D:
(action / adventure) Eric Brevig makes his feature directorial debut with this adaptation of the classic Jules Verne classic fantasy journey into the prehistoric subterranean world stars Brendan Fraser.



Jumper:
(Sci-fi)
d:Doug Liman. Due to a genetic anomaly, Hayden Christensen can teleport himself anywhere.



Jurassic Park IV (2009)
(sci-fi, action) In Pre-Production. Extinction and dinosaur-human crossbreeds are the buzzwords for this movie.



Justice League of America (2010):
The Hollywood Reporter reported that director George Miller (Happy Feet) is looking for a group of young actors to step into the shoes of superheroes Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman and The Flash in "Justice League of America." Christian Bale and Brandon Routh are unlikely to reprise their Batman and Superman roles in this movie.



Kung Fu Panda (2008):
Kung Fu Panda" features Jack Black as Po the Panda is a funny CGI animation feature from Dreamworks



Land of the Lost:
Favorite children's 70's sci-fi-comedy hit TV series about a dad (Will Ferrell) and his kids discovering the lost world of dinosaurs while rafting down the Colorado river will be made for the big screens.



Lions of Al-Rassan
Ed Zwick (Last Samurai) to direct "The Lions of Al-Rassan" movie for Warner Bros. Pictures. Set in the fictitious city of Al-Rassan in medieval Spain, "The Lions of Al-Rassan" centers around a love triangle between two princes and a female doctor set against a background of religious and cultural clashes.



Logan's Run:
After years in limbo, Joseph Kosinski has taken over Bryan Singer's place to direct Logan's Run. The movie will be more faithful to the William F Nolan and George Clayton Johnson's novel
rather than the 1976 movie. The story is about a post-apocalyptic future society living in a domed city which must keep its population in check. The city founders' solution is "SleepShop" - a place where everyone on reaching 21 years of age must report to. At SleepShop, they secretly killed in an elaborate ritualistic hoax. Those who do not report (Runners) are killed on sight by "the Sandman".



Lovely Bones
(horror / drama) d:Peter Jackson. A young girl who was brutally raped and murdered, watches the effects of her death on her family from Heaven, Mark Wahlberg stars.


Madagascar - The Crate Escape:
(animation) d:Eric Darnell, Tom McGrath. Dreamworks sequel about escaped zoo animals learning to survive in the wild.


Mamma Mia! (2008):
(musical) d:Phyllida Lloyd. Meryl Streep stars in this hit East End / Broadway musical featuring ABBA hit songs from the 70's disco era. Don't hold your breath on this one if the trailers are anything to go by.


Mary Queen of Scots:
"Mary Queen of Scots" follows Queen Mary's rise to power. Jimmy McGovern wrote the script and Ridley Scott and David Thompson will act as producers. Ron Howard's daughter, Bryce Dallas Howard, has been signed to star in Warner Independent Pictures historical drama.



Monkey Wrench Gang:
Catherine Hardwicke (Lords of Dogtown) will take on directing duties for "The Monkey Wrench Gang,". Edward Abbey's "The Monkey Wrench Gang" is about an ex-Green Beret George Washington Hayduke who join together with a few like-minded souls to wage war against the industrial corporation that was ruining their beloved desert.



Monster Hunter:
Kevin James (King of Queens) stars in the family movie, "Monster Hunter," which will be produced by Will Smith and James Lassiter. In "Monster Hunter," Kevin James is a child psychologist who can see the monsters kids always claim are hiding under their beds.



Mummy: Tomb of The Dragon Emperor (2008):
Brendan Fraser returns as explorer Rick O'Connell to combat the resurrected Han Emperor (Jet Li) in an epic that races from the catacombs of ancient China high into the frigid Himalayas. Rick is joined by son, wife and her brother. And this time, the O'Connells must stop a mummy awoken from a 2,000-year-old curse who threatens to plunge the world into his merciless, unending service. 'The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor' is directed by Rob Cohen ('The Fast and the Furious,' 'xXx') and written by Alfred Gough & Miles Millar ('Spider-Man 2,' television's Smallville).



Napoleon and Betsy
Emma Watson ('Hermione' of Harry Potter) has signed on to star in the period drama Napoleon and Betsy from writer/director Benjamin Ross. Watson will play the role of Betsy Balcombe, a young British woman who falls for Napoleon when he's exiled to the island of St Helena.


Nim's Island (2008):
(fantasy) d:Jennifer Flackett, Mark Levin. Jodie Foster is mother of girl whose vivid imagination makes an island a magical place.



No Woman No Cry:
Bob Marley's life will be the subject of a feature film from The Weinstein Company. Lizzie Borden adapted the screenplay based on Rita Marley's autobiography, No Woman No Cry: My Life with Bob Marley, published in 2004. The film marks the first authorized biography of the gifted reggae musician who passed away from cancer on May 11, 1981 at the age of 36.



Paradise Lost:
John Milton's epic poem - Paradise Lost - to become a live-action feature film.with director Scott Derrickson (The Exorcism of Emily Rose) in the director's chair and screenplay contributor. Published in 1667, Milton's Paradise Lost is the story of Satan's rebellion against God, how he tempted Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden, and the subsequent fall of man.



Pompeii:
Robert Harris' best-selling novel about the eruption of Mt. Vesuvius in 79 A.D is to be made into a $130 million movie. The story is told through the eyes of Marcus Attilius, a young engineer whose job was to repair the Roman Empire's greatest aqueduct. Attilius' task is made more difficult because he must not only fight corruption in the town of Pompeii but also battle the power of nature.



Princess of Mars:
Ehren Kruger ("The Ring" and "The Ring 2") has been tasked to writing the script to "A Princess of Mars." "A Princess of Mars" which is Edgar Rice Burroughs' first book of "John Carter of Mars" franchise. The movie follows American Civil War veteran John Carter who is transported through space to the planet Barsoom where he's taken prisoner by giant green men.



Punisher - War Zone (2)

d:Lexi Alexander. Ray Stevenson reprises role as vigilante-hero on the trail of killers and mobsters.


Righteous Kill:
(crime / drama)
d:Jon Avnet. Al Pacino & Robert de Niro are detectives investigating a serial killer case they thought they had solved years earlier.



Ronin:
Warner Bros Pictures has hired director Sylvain White (Stomp the Yard) to make the Frank Miller (300) graphic novel Ronin. Frank Miller's Ronin is the story of a disgraced 13th century samurai warrior brought back to life in the 21st century to battle a demon.



Rosemary's Baby:
Another classic film gets a makeover treatment in the hands of producers Michael Bay, Andrew Form and Brad Fuller (the producing team behind the remakes of The Hitcher, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, and The Amityville Horror). The trio will remain loyal to the source material. The 1968 movie, directed by Roman Polanski, was adapted from Ira Levin's novel and starred Mia Farrow about a wife who spawn an anti-Christ.




Serpent and the Eagle:

Ron Howard will helm of "The Serpent and the Eagle" for Paramount Pictures. "The Serpent and the Eagle" is an epic drama which focuses on the Spanish conquest of Mexico in 1520. Brian Helgeland ("Man on Fire") is rewriting the script and Brian Grazer, Howard's Imagine partner, will produce the film.




Sex and the City - The Movie (2008):

d:Michael Patrick King. Sarah Jessica Parker and company reprises their roles from the hit TV series.


Shantaram:
(crime / drama) d:Mira Nair. Johnny Depp is a on the run drug criminal hiding in India. Unforeseeable events prompts him to join the Afghan freedom fighters to fight the Soviet invaders.


Shutter Island:
Leonardo DiCaprio, Mark Ruffalo and Ben Kingsley to star in the dramatic film to be directed by Martin Scorsese. Based on the novel by Dennis Lehane and adapted for the screen by Laeta Kalogridis, Shutter Island follows DiCaprio as a US Marshall who has to investigate the escape of a murderess from an insane asylum.



Snow and the Seven:
"Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs" provides the basis for this martial arts/Chinese fantasy, an East-Meets-West story set in China during the 1880s and the 'seven' are Shaolin monks. Novelist Michael Chabon will write the script and Yuen Wo Ping, the man who was responsible for choreographing "The Matrix" and "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon," will make "Snow and the Seven" his first English language feature film directorial effort.



Speed Racer (2008):
(action / fantasy)
d:Andy & Larry Wachowski. Emile Hirsch as Racer based on Japanese animated car racing series.


Spiderwick Chronicles:
(fantasy) d:Mark Waters. Freddy Highmore enters the alternate world full of faeries based on the favorite children book series.


Starship Troopers (3):
Continuing saga of interplanetary soldiers fighting giant bugs from the bug planet.



Star Trek:
(sci-fi)
d:JJ Abrams. Take a star trek back to the origins of the original Starship Enterprise crew with Chris Pine as the young Capt. Kirk.


Star Wars: Clone Wars (2008):
(animation / sci-fi) d:Dave Filoni. George Lucas 1st CGI animation series provides the back story to the Jedi Knights (with Anakin Skywalker) battles against the increasingly powerful forces Dark Lord as featured in "Star Wars 2: The Attack of the Clones". Rumor has it that George Lucas is planning a new Star Wars trilogy after this Clone Wars series


Terminator Salvation: The Future Begins (4) (2009):
The writers behind T3, John Brancato and Michael Ferris, wrote the screenplay for Terminator #4. California Governor Schwarzenegger may do a cameo in the new Terminator movie, the film will definitely not center around his character. The fourth Terminator movie is expected to be the first in a series of three new adventures set in the future. In an interview with Daily Variety, Halcyon co-CEO and Terminator Salvation: The Future Begins producer Derek Anderson said, "This is set in the future, in a full-scale war between Skynet and humankind."



Thor:
Director Matthew Vaughn has been tapped by Marvel Studios to helm Thor from a screenplay by Mark Protosevich (I Am Legend, Poseidon). The comic book follows the adventures of a handsome and muscular superhero whose job is to protect mankind. His weapon of choice? A hammer.



Tron:
Joseph Kosinski may direct the new Tron movie according to a report in The Hollywood Reporter. The new Tron movie won't necessarily be a remake of the 1982 movie but instead will be a new chapter in the Tron story. The 1982 Tron was one of the first computer generated visual effects movies and considered a groundbreaking film for its time. Jeff Bridges starred in the original film which featured a computer programmer who was inserted into the world of a computer where he was forced to participate in wild, gladiator-style games.



Transformers 2:
(2009) (sci-fi) d:Michael Bay. War re-erupts between Autobots and the evil Decepticons in this sequel with terrified Shia LaBeouf caught in the middle again.


Untouchables - Capone Uprising (2):
(crime thriller)

Wall-e (2008):
(sci-fi / comedy / animation) d:Andrew Stanton. Pixar CGI animated feature about robots 700 years into the future and their journey through the universe.



Warcraft:
Blizzard Entertainment's hugely popular Warcraft video game series will become a live-action movie set to be released by Legendary Pictures. The storyline of the film will not follow along the lines of one of the four Warcraft games. Instead of duplicating videogamers adventures, the movie will be set in the Warcraft world of orcs, elves, and trolls.



Warriors:
Tony Scott ("Man on Fire") is set to direct the upcoming remake of the 1979 Walter Hill movie, "The Warriors" about warring gangs of New York.

Watchmen (2009):
(sci-fi / comedy) Director:Zach Snyder of "300". Retired and outlawed costumed superheroes fight to stay alive. Billy Crudup stars.


When Worlds Collide:
Paramount and DreamWorks are going forward with the remake of "When Worlds Collide," the 1951 sci-fi thriller directed by Rudolph Mate, with Steven Spielberg set to produce. The original "When Worlds Collide" featured some of the best special effects of its day and posed the question: what would you do if you knew in eight months a runaway star and its accompanying planet will crash into earth with no way to stop the collision?


Wolverine: X-men Origins (2009):
(sci-fi) d:Gavin Hood. Wolfman Hugh Jackman lashes tooth and claw against his perennial adversary, Sabretooth in this Marvel comics prequel of the X-Men hit series.


X-Files: I Want To Believe (2) (July 2008):
(sci-fi / thriller)
d:Chris Carter. David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson re teams to unveil sinister new alien plans that threatens the fate of mankind.
