As the Jurassic Park IV movie script is still in development, the producers have not given any idea of movie plot line.
It is rumored that Jurassic Park IV will center on the "extinction" theme. An unknown prehistoric virus, known as DX is progressively killing off the established dinosaurs and could potentially destroy the human race as well. A team is sent to find a cure and save the remaining dinosaurs. Their expedition is fraught with danger as this deadly disease can also kill humans. Worst still, their efforts are being hampered by an mutated species of highly intelligent dinosaurs - the result of cloning experiments involving dinosaur and human genes.
John Sayles' earlier Jurassic Park IV script was rumored to “feature a team of dino-human crossbreeds trained to be a military force” by Entertainment Weekly (issue #903, October 20, 2006).
Spielberg has reportedly, hired Stan Winston Studios' puppets and worked with Industrial Light and Magic (ILM) to develop cutting-edge CGI to portray the dinosaurs.
