- There is no Mac OS X or Linux versions just yet. However, Mac and Linux users can still order movies to be loaded onto a TiVo DVR.
- JavaScript have to be turned off or use an old version of Adobe's Flash Player.
- Install and Use the Amazon's proprietary Amazon Unbox Video Player. Once downloaded, the download movie can be played on the Windows Media Player and some other video players.
- The average video bit-rate of an Amazon Unbox download equals 2500 kilobytes/second. This means that a two hour movie takes up roughly two gigabytes (2 GB) of hard disk storage space.
Using Amazon Unbox with TiVo:
Amazon Unbox on TiVo is not an extender service so you don't have to somehow connect your PC to your TV or extender device. Unbox on TiVo allows customers to send content directly to their DVR. Unbox supports TiVo Series2 and Series3 DVR boxes. DirectTiVo DVRs are not supported.

Those who rent a movie from Amazon Unbox can keep it for 30 days, unless otherwise stated, but have just 24 hours to complete viewing the movie. Once you start watching it, the video's viewing option expires.
